Biggest challenge you have faced? Overcoming injuries is definitely the hardest part of elite sport. Especially the ones I’ve had which have taken 8 or so months to get through
What do you like most about your sport? Having three sports-in-one definitely keeps the training and racing interesting and dynamic. And it’s a real challenge to the right balance with swim, bike and run, and I love that
Who/what inspires you to achieve your best in sport? I started triathlons when I watched the Olympic Games on TV back in 2004. And since then, I started the sport, loved it, and that’s where I’ve wanted to get to ever since. I feel like I set big goals for myself as a kid and chasing them each day inspires me to be my best. Plus having seen my parents work hard their whole life, inspires me to do the same
